Our tour guide was really great. Very knowledgeable about the forest and really knew how to keep our group entertained; loved her energy. Forgot what her name was, but she had short hair and drove the bus to pick us up.

Fun combo for a day of adventure!

My friend and I had the most fun on this combo tour! First, we had a stop at a yummy juice bar, and then we headed to the forest. The hike could have been challenging done by oneself, but our guides, Patricia, Paula, and Maxine, made sure that everyone was taken care of and had proper expectations about every part of our trek. They were also very fun and informative about the flora and fauna of the forest. More importantly for me, they were respectful of people's limitations while encouraging them to be adventurous, so I ended up doing the waterfall slide and rope swing though I am usually afraid of heights. Pro tip: don't scream as you hit the water, or else you get a big gulp of the river. :) Lastly, know that all of you will be soaking at some point and probably muddy, so plan accordingly.
The dinner place we went to was also yummy and had food options to fit all budgets. On the Biobay portion, our guides (Miguel, Julian, Francisco, and I think I forgetting one name, sorry!) were also super informative and made sure that our group was respectful of our surroundings. They also set our expectations that things don't always look as bright in the photos, but we were definitely able to see some of the milky luminescence and just being able to kayak in the dark was a cool experience. I would recommend this tour to anyone! You don't have to be an expe

We almost died.

We almost died due to a flash flood. We didn’t get to do the full rainforest tour but I’m sure the full thing would have been enjoyable. It will always rain in the rainforest but if it is scheduled to rain heavy from 12-4 highly suggest re scheduling. You don’t get to the rainforest to start the tour till almost 1 pm even though you may be picked up at 9:30 am.

The combo tour was the perfect way to end my bachelorette weekend. Everything went smoothly - I received a text message confirming our pick up location in Isla verde, along with the name of our driver and description of the vehicle. The bus took us to a fruit stand, where we bought delicious smoothies and stocked up on sun screen. Then we were taken to El Yunque. The hike to the water slide was very short - we were in a large group (20-30 ppl) so we moved slowly. However, this was perfect for my bachelorette party as it was just the right amount of adventure / hiking. We made it to the water slide and this was the coolest part! The water was amazingly warm. The guides were awesome and informative. We ended the hike with freshly sliced fruit, snacks, and beers. Next our driver brought us to a restaurant which had an amazing view and delicious food! This was a lovely break before embarking on the kayaking trip. The bioluminescence was really cool to see. This combo tour was the best part of our trip!! I highly recommend.

Patricia and Paola were knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. They told us so much about the rainforest, answered all our questions, and got us safely out of our comfort zones on the water slide and cliff jumping. The bio bay was a beautiful experience. Be ready to paddle hard in strong currents. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

Myself and my two teens went on this excursion, there were actually three parts! The first was the trek through the jungle, the waterfall slide and the cliff jump and rope swing jump. It was super fun! Warning: wear tennis shoes, there are some parts that require some upper body strength climbing up rocks, and some slippery parts, lots of tree roots! Luiz, Paula and Max were helpful and informative. Then a great dinner at an oceanside restaurant (pay separately). Next onto the bio tour. They were very organized, it was peaceful and interesting paddling in the dark through the mangrove forest. Moon was bright but we still could see the plankton in the water sparkling. My favorite part: free swim time near the waterslide rock, daughter’s favorite part was the climbing and 20 foot jump (numerous times). My son’s favorite part was the kayaking! Definitely worth it!

The hike and cliff jumping was a truly amazing experience. We had so much fun. Definitely made it an adventure to we will never forget. The bio bay was a little disappointing. The kayaking part was great. Amazing views but when we got to our destination it was not what we were expecting. The water did not light up as we imagined. We needed to stick our hands in the water to see sparks of light. Definitely not what we imagined. Other then that everything else was amazing.

Hola!
Thank you for sharing your amazing feedback!
We are very happy to know you had so much fun during your time with us! Hiking and Cliff jumping are definitely an awesome way to spend the day!
Being a natural phenomenon the bio bay can vary and be a little less potent on some days. But definitely an amazing experience!
Thank you for taking the time to share thoughts with us!
We hope to see you on your next great adventure in Puerto Rico!

Decent tour. Cons: tour guide not very informative of day schedule (I.e times to next destination, where for dinner, etc,) only one bathroom stop in beginning of the day, stayed in wet clothes the entire time, no place to change. Could of easily worn water shoes over regular sneakers. Barely went into rainforest maybe 2 miles back and forth total. Only allowed to go down water slide once. Pros: local fresh fruit was provided, water , beer. Tour guide assisted climbing rocks when needed, tour guide took photos for us! Stoped in luquillo for dinner by the beach. ..Also, except to be on the bus a good amount of time.

The communication before the tour was very good and the pick up time was accurate. I had not expected our group to be as big as it was so it took longer to get our group to a particular destination within the rainforest hike. I thought the water slides were a lot of fun. I enjoyed the explanation re: fauna and had hoped for a bit more explanation. I didn’t enjoy the restaurant that was chosen for dinner however. The bio bay tour was also fun. It was unfortunate that we could not see that much light bc of the weather conditions but enjoyed that part of the tour. It was great that they took care of the pictures though wish we could have received them sooner than 5 business day. Thanks for a great day!
Tremendous fun and adventure!

Our family of four (ages 50, 50, 21 and 19) had a wonderful though exhausting day on this 2 part excursion. The whole day ran very punctual, starting from the pickup at our hotel. The group was mostly college students and young couples.
Luis, Sarah and Paola had great energy and took very good care of us.
Please do follow their packing advice. Leave anything of value on the bus for hiking and kayaking, expect to be completely submerged, never mind rained on and muddy at times! We chose to stay in the same clothes and sneakes for the entire day. Dinner is relaxed and outdoors so we mostly dried off then.
Best to wear shoes with good grips that can get muddy and soaked. Much of the hike is on slippery ground and rocks.
It is very liberating not to be attached to a phone or watch, since they take your photos and email them to you a few days later.
We are vegan and were able to eat very well at the restaurant Rincon del Faro.
The bioluminesence was very anticlimatic but the company had warned us of this possibility the day before, based on the number of rainy days aheas of this. Regardless, kayaking at night was an adventure on its own.
The tour guides were...
