One of the most-visited parks in the United States, Yosemite National Park is famed for its wild beauty and massive natural attractions. After morning pickup at your San Francisco hotel (selected hotels only), cruise across the new San Francisco Bay Bridge and through historic Gold Rush towns as the urban bustle gives way to the rugged landscape of the Sierra Nevada.

When you arrive at the park, stretch your legs at Tuolumne Grove with a hike among some of the oldest and largest trees in the world (weather permitting). Crane your neck to see the top of the giant sequoia trees, including a tunneled-out tree large enough to drive a car through.

Continue on to Tunnel View for an unbeatable view of Yosemite’s photogenic valley framed by the giant granite formations of Half Dome and El Capitan. Look for expert rock climbers trying to scale the world-class cliffs and, in springtime, watch the thundering cascade of Yosemite Falls.

Enjoy some free time to explore the park on your own. Rent a bike and cruise along the flat paths of Yosemite Valley (not included), hike to a nearby waterfall or visit the Ansel Adams Gallery to see some of the most famous images of the park ever captured on film. Lunch options include a picnic on the Merced River or a casual meal at the Yosemite Lodge (own expense). Reconnect with your guide at the appointed time, and relax on the scenic drive back to San Francisco.

Please note: The weather in Yosemite is highly variable and includes rain and snow in winter and high temperatures in summer. The itinerary may be adapted to make the most of Yosemite during different seasons and times of the year. The giant sequoias are best visited between May and October. During the rest of the year, snow and ice conditions may prevent access to roads and trails, and other activities may be substituted.

Unforgettable Trip to Yosemite!

The Full Day Trip to Yosemite National Park & Giant Sequoias was truly unforgettable. I went as a solo traveler and had a great time. Not only did we make plenty of stops on the way to get food but the schedule was jam-packed & well coordinated. Our tour guide Gino was fantastic! The only thing I would change is to take out the Giant Sequoias tour altogether, not that it was bad, but it was about a mile-long uphill hike. So, we were not able to cover enough ground in the time given. Just book the trip, you won't regret it! Pro-Tip: Bring more than enough water bottles & a USB/portable charger for your electronics. The bus I went on does not have plug-in power outlets.

Thanks for letting us know you enjoyed your tour to Yosemite. Gino will be thrilled. Yes...the vehicles have USB chargers but not plug-in outlets. Travel well!

The tour was alright but way overpriced for what you get. We went to one National Park and had a few stops around.

This trip was a fantastic experience for exploring the iconic sights of Yosemite. Denise was our host and her expertise, care and attention to our tour was stellar. You could tell that she really knew exactly what she was talking about. Her narrative was very informative and engaging which continued throughout the whole long day. Her advice and help was much appreciated and allowed us to make the most out of our trip

Outside of a senior park ranger, there's no one that has more to share than Denise. Thanks for sharing your experience. Travel well!

Denise (tour guide) truly made this experience to Yosemite and Sequoia! Her commentary throughout the ride gave us a new insight into the park. The park itself is breathtaking! We are so glad we booked this trip and would recommended it to anyone! Ask for Denise!

There was very little in the way of a tour guide. It was basically just a drive there and back in a very old bus. The sequoia grove was an extremely long walk there and back alone with no guidance.
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Wow...three other guests gave 5-star reviews for your tour. We recognize that people have different expectations, so please contact our Guest Services office about our satisfaction guarantee. For others reading this, please read over our description of the hike to the Giant Sequoias...its no "walk in the park", rather a 2-mile round trip hike with a trail that has a steep return. We are very clear that those with respiratory issues should not attempt this portion of the tour.
