This activity will end right where it started.
Head to Toulouse Street in the French Quarter to board the beautiful riverboat. When you step on board, you'll also step back in time as calliope music fills the air and the captain’s voice pours through an antique megaphone.

Your VIP experience begins with a personal reception. Ship staff will greet you with a complimentary Champagne cocktail. Pose for a photo op to capture the moment; you’ll take home a print to mark the special occasion. Then, follow your host (who may even be the captain) on an insider tour of the vessel to see all the workings of the ship including the pilot house and the enormous paddlewheel.

Afterward, you’ll be escorted to your reserved seat, where you’ll get unobstructed views of the striking New Orleans shoreline at dusk, and a performance by the Grammy‐nominated jazz group Dukes of Dixieland. Wet your palate with fresh shrimp cocktail and a glass of wine. As for dinner, it might include anything from Bayou seafood pasta to chicken and sausage gumbo. Top it off with signature bread pudding accompanied by coffee and tea.

Wonderful! Got directly on the ship without waiting in the boarding line! Front row seats for band, being served our drinks and shrimp cocktail and later on dessert directly by a super friendly and attentive hostess was well worth the additional cost! Dinner buffet was superb and we went between the 2 dinner times, so had no line there either ! Tour by captain was also a nice touch, as was our gift bag!

It was definitely a VIP experience. We got to cut all lines and had a reserved table in front of the Jazz band. Gina took care of us from the beginning to the end. The meal was fantastic and the drinks were exceptional. We got to tour the steamboat with the Captain and hear the history of the boat. This was the grand finale of our trip to New Orleans. Definitely spring for the VIP Tour and open bar upgrade. Our host, Gina, made it the most lovely experience from start to finish. She made my whole party feel like royalty and she kept us laughing the whole time. Food was great and booze was even better. The captain who took us on our tour felt like an old friend and was a wealth of knowledge. The boat was beautiful and the music was perfect. The Captain was very informative during the tour of the steamboat. The band was great. The drinks were on point, but our hostess Gina was the best part of the experience.
