Gray Line Lighthouse on the Steamboat NATCHEZ dock (Toulouse Street at the Mississippi River)

This activity will end right where it started.
Choose a morning or afternoon pickup from the French Quarter and climb aboard your coach for the ride deep into Cajun country. Watch the changing scenery as the cityscape transitions into expansive wetlands. You coach delivers you to the launch point across the Mississippi River, where you’ll transfer to an open‐sided, covered boat and set off on the fun and educational ride.

Your native guide will take you on a wildlife‐spotting expedition through this legendary Louisiana terrain. Glide along the water, viewing the lush greenery and abundant local wildlife, including nesting alligators, egrets, raccoons, snakes, and giant nutria. Some wildlife are more easily spotted during the warmer months of the year.  Get great photos and learn about the history and mystery of the swamps, including the culture and ingenuity of the Cajun people who have populated this region for almost 250 years. Your guides will share stories about Cajun music, bayou lifestyle, and culinary traditions — like the creation of Louisiana’s signature gumbo, as well as information about the region’s passionate efforts to preserve the wetlands.

Your coach returns to the French Quarter by mid‐afternoon or evening.

Excellent trip! Transportation from New Orleans and back was prompt and driver very friendly & knowledgeable. Our boat captain was born & raised in the area. He was very entertaining, down to earth, knowledgeable & made the trip even more interesting. He put our group on some young gators and everyone greatly enjoyed seeing them. The entire boat trip was just beautiful & relaxing. The bayou is very serene. Definitely recommend!

The boat ride was very relaxing and the views of the cypress trees were beautiful, we got to see a couple younger alligators, due to the heat most of them were not out during the day. The captain we had was very friendly and funny and made the ride an unforgettable experience with enjoyable humor plus on top of it at the shop there we seen a rare albino Alligator named Sugar!

Good experience, no wastage of time. The pickup and drop off driver was very informative and friendly. The swamp tour guide was cool. The passengers were very loud so could not hear all the information well. Saw 5 alligators and nice swamp corners

This tour was a waste of time and money. It shouldn't be advertised in the summer months. We didn't see ANY alligators and the heat was miserable! The advertising was false. We thought we'd get to hold a baby alligator and feed them marshmallows but we didn't do any of the above. The boat seats were uncomfortable and he drove it slow so we barely had a breeze. Lastly, the tour guide put everyone to sleep.

The trip overall was great. Grayline staff were very helpful following a mix up with our tickets. Tour was well organised and interesting. The only negative is the blurb suggests hotel pickup is available but recommend you making your own way to the tour start however pickup is not available

Its a very short trip. Looks like many bayous have been closed after Ida and the boat didnt have much to go to. The whole ride was only about 1 hour and wasnt exciting.

It was just ok, couldn't hear guide very well, but wasn't very engaging. Not many gators or much wild life, not really impressed with any of it

Very knowledgeable tour guide and overall a great trip. It happened to rain while we were on the tour, but we were still able to see a number of gators and get a lot of information on them along with the Swamp/Bayou's. Didn't see much other wildlife due to the rainstorm, but would still recommend if you want to see gators.
