Soweto and Johannesburg & Apartheid Museum

Loved this experience because our guide, Joseph, was really open with how life is living in South Africa and Johannesburg, and it was extremely eye-opening. This was a driving tour where he took us through several neighborhoods where you could see the drastic wealth-inequality which was really sad to see but necessary. It helped us understand how the impacts of the Apartheid are still very much alive today. And the Apartheid Museum in general was one of the highlights of the trip. Don't think of it as any old museum (cause to be honest museums aren't usually too appealing to me) but this was 100% worth going to Johannesburg for and I think visiting the museum is an absolute must-do if you visit South Africa to understand it's past and its people. Also they picked us up and dropped us off at the airport which was super convenient, and held all of our luggage for us in the car. It was safe with our driver because he stayed around/in the car the entire time while we got out of the car. We also got to pick what time we wanted to start and end the tour which was incredible because I was researching so many Joburg tours to see the Apartheid Museum and Soweto combined and this was the only place that i found that allowed us to arrange those details; everything else had a set time in the morning which we couldn't do since we were flying in from Cape Town that morning.
